The Larned High School girls golf team edged Buhler 20-3-204 ti win the rain-shortened 9-hole Nickerson Invitational Friday at the par-36 2,383-yard Crazy Horse Golf Course in Hutchinson.
Nickerson placed third with a 233 score. followed by Pretty Prairie 246, Hoisington 247, Kingman 254, Hutchinson Trinity 255, Pratt 258. Medicine Lodge 259 and Andale 280.
Larned’s Ariana Meyer won first-place medalist honors with a 4-over-par 40. Buhler’s Grace Schmidt placed second with a 47 and Larned’s Taeten Reynolds placed third with a 49.
The top 12 individuals plus ties earned medals.
Larned’s Khloe Smith tioed for serent with a 54, followed by Cammie DePeugh and Kinley Atteberry, tied for 18th, 60; and Harleigh Ehrlich,tied for 35th, 67.
Buhler’s Kylie Gregg placed fourth with a 51, followed by Olivia Hall, sixth, 52; Emcee Goering, tied for seventh, 54; Noah Dilbeck, tied for ninth, 55; Meadow Schlatter, 16th, 58.
Nickerson’s top golfer was Aubree Nikkel, who tied for fourth with a 51, followed by Brooklyn Steffen, tied for 8th, 54; Jillian Hartman, tied for 25th, 62; Hadley Sander, tied for 30th, 65; Cora Mae Narron, tied for 37th, 69; and Rylee Gilbert, tied for 44th, 71.
Pretty Prairie was paced Jewelynn Reese, who placed 12th with a 57, followed by Hallie Deel, 17th, 59; Lyndsey Hoyt, ted for 18th, 60; Sommerleigh Mizel, tied for 42nd, 70; Allison Tipton, tied for 44th, 71; Ellie Hoyt, 49th, 75.
Hoisington was led by Samantha Lovett, who tied for 12th place with a 57. Alaina Rubio tied for 22nd, 61; Olivia Chambers, tied for 27th, 63; and Rilynn Crawford, tied for 32nd, 66.
Hutchinson Trinity’s top-finishing golfer was Clara Shank, who tied for the 12th-place medal with a 57. Allison Moodie tied for 25th place with a 62, followed by Gentry Christiansen, tied for 32nd, 66; and Melany Tapia, tied for 42nd, 70.
Andale’s top golfer was Payton Lies, who tied for 18th place with a 60, followed by Sophia Steelel, tied for 35th, 67; Aubrey Green, tied for 50th, 76; and Mykenna Bugner and Hayden Olson, tied for 52nd, 77.
