Tate England scored two goals in each half Thursday, and Griff Galyon added a pair of goals, as the Hutchinson High boys soccer team routed Goddard 7-1 at the Salthawk Sports Complex.
The game was halted eight minutes into the second half due to lightning. Since half the game was already completed, the game is official.
The Salthawks scored five goals in the first 14 minutes. England opened the scoring in the second minute with a sensational shot into the corner of the goal. Galyon then scored two goals in less than two minutes, including his own shot into the upper corner. England scored another in the 12th minute.
Leading 5-1 at halftime, England scored two more goals seconds apart in the 45th minute. Three minutes later, the game was called due to lightning. Hutchinson improved to 6-1 and will head to Salina South on Tuesday.
