HILLSBORO, Kan. – Saturday brought a balmy afternoon of soccer as the Tabor women took on Saint Mary in their second KCAC contest of the 2026 campaign. The Bluejays entered the match hoping to avenge their loss to McPherson on Wednesday evening, while the Spires looked to get into the win column for the first time this season.
Tabor opened things up early, as Haley Rogers found the back of the net at the 10′ mark off an assist from Haven Deckinger. The Bluejays struck twice later in the second half, as Ashley Jimenez hit paydirt at the 81′ mark and Soraya Mendoza scored a goal of her own at the 88′ mark.
Throughout the match, the Bluejays dominated offensively, taking 16 total shots and 11 shots on goal, while Saint Mary took seven shots with six shots on goal.
Misha Santana finished the match with three total shots and two shots on goal, while Haley Rogers recorded two shots with both being on target.
Defensively, Neve Mulrooney had a stellar day, recording four saves in the win.
The Bluejays return to action on Wednesday as they head to North Newton to take on rival Bethel. The match is set for a 5:00pm kickoff.
