A regional Child Care Business Summit was held this week at the McPherson Community Center, bringing together more than 25 civic and business leaders from McPherson, Harvey, Marion and Rice counties.
The focus was on a growing problem: jobs are being added, but the counties aren’t gaining population, and workforce officials say a shortage of child care is one factor limiting growth.
