COLBY, Kan. – A hat trick for Cowley’s Theo Cutler and a five-save outing against number nine-ranked Otero Junior College for Barton’s Pedro Lisboa have led to the pair earning the first Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 1 Men’s Soccer Player of the Week awards of the 2026 season.
Theo Cutler (Cowley) – KJCCC D1 Men’s Soccer Player of the Week
Cutler posted a season-opening hat trick for the number three-ranked Cowley Tigers in a 9-1 win over Lamar Community College on the road. Two of Cutler’s three goals came back-to-back to put Cowley up 3-0 in the match before adding his final goal to make the score 5-0 in favor of the Tigers.
Pedro Lisboa (Barton) – KJCCC D1 Men’s Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week
Sophomore goalkeeper Pedro Lisboa anchored the back line for sixth-ranked Barton, helping guide the Cougars to a pair of season-opening victories while allowing just one goal across 180 minutes. In the season opener against North Iowa Area Community College, Lisboa helped orchestrate a defensive unit that surrendered just one shot in recording a 2-0 shutout. Facing number nine Otero the following day, Lisboa turned away five of six shots on goal in Barton’s come-from-behind 2-1 victory. His impact also extended to the offensive end, coming out of the net to deliver a long ball that led to the game-tying goal, earning his first career assist.
