After finishing 5-4 in 2025, the McPherson High School Bullpups return nine starters on offense and 10 on defense.
Sports in Kansas recognized the Bullpups as a Class 4A Team to Watch in 2026.
Head coach Jace Pavlovich enters his 23rd year in coaching and has compiled an 89-31 record as a head coach.
Ashton Malm, a wide receiver, is a potential Kansas Top 11 candidate and has FBS/FCS potential, according to Spots in Kansas.
He is joined by a strong group of returning players that includes Takoda Linn at defensive back, Dane Becker at tailback, Dylan Hall at offensive and defensive line, Bo Barkley at tight end and defensive end, Brody Hoffman at defensive back and Jaxon Hoover at kicker.
Other key returnees include Brody Milleson at tailback, Carter Bengston at quarterback, McKoy Berggren on the offensive line and Carter Melton at linebacker.
“We have a chance to be a pretty good football team this season. However, we will need to execute at a high level in order to achieve our potential,” Pavlovich said.
