Beginning Monday, August 10, 2026, Mies Construction will install traffic control and close Navaho Avenue north of Pueblo Avenue.
Pavement will be removed to replace the water main north of the intersection. Access to Navaho Ave from Pueblo Ave will be prohibited.
Navaho Ave will be closed to thru traffic south of Commanche Avenue. Residents will be provided access from Commanche Avenue. Work is expected to last two weeks and be completed by August 24, 2026, weather permitting.
Appropriate barriers will be in place to ensure the safety of workers. Motorists may encounter minor delays and are encouraged to avoid work zones when possible. For additional information, please contact the City of Salina Utilities Department at (785) 309-5725.
