It’s Primary Election Day in Kansas and 27 voting locations are open across Saline County until 7pm tonight.
Saline County Clerk and Elections Officer Jamie Doss tells Ad Astra News that she expects a light to moderate turnout.
“We typically have between 20 to 22-percent turnout in a primary election,” she said. “It kind of looks like we are going to have the same this year.”
Doss adds a few tips: make sure you read a sample ballot before you go to vote, know your polling place and remember to bring your photo ID.
Voters will decide today if they want to replace the current system of choosing Kansas Supreme Court justices. If passed, the first three seats would be up for election in 2028.
