Tri-Rivers Fair continues to roll and celebrate the All-American Summer, with judging and awards handed out to 4-H participants.

Eleven-year-old Cole Bryan of Boldly Go 4-H tells Ad Astra News how watching his sister shoot baskets gave him an idea to grab his camera. “My sister was shooting the basketball, and I used a fast shutter,” Cole said. “It made it look like it’s floating on a string.”

The shot called “Nothing But Net” earned Cole a purple award and a chance to present the photo in Hutchinson at the State Fair.

The 4-H Horse Show took place inside AG Hall on Friday with several classes of riders taking their steeds though a maze of drills.

New this year is the Mechanical Bull just outside Tony’s Pizza Event Center, huge inflatables and Zoo Wildlife Quest. The Draft Horse Pull will take place at 6:30pm inside Ag Hall, followed by the Jaron Bell Concert at 8pm.
