HUTCHINSON, Kan. – The 7th Annual Bridgebuilders BBQ will return this year to the Home Builders Shelter in Cary Park. This event, organized in collaboration with the City of Hutchinson and groups like the Hutchinson Police Department, Wisdom in Motion, NAACP Youth and Hutch in Harmony, is all about fostering positive relationships across the community.
As Jessica Woodyard, Public Communications Manager for the City of Hutchinson, says, “It’s an opportunity for young people and families and the police officers to come together outside of those emergency situations to get to know one another and build those positive relationships in a more relaxed environment”.
Later that evening, Build Hutch will host a free virtual workshop focused on the financial side of small-scale development. Participants will gain insights into building project budgets, navigating the requirements lenders seek, and understanding potential pitfalls in property development. The workshop starts at 5:30 PM and registration is open on the City of Hutchinson’s Facebook page.
Jessica Woodyard explains, “This workshop is really designed to help people understand the financial side of small-scale development… It’s a great educational opportunity, and it’s free to attend”.
