Kansas swept Oklahoma in the Kansas-Oklahoma All-Star Soccer Matches Friday at Friends University’s Adair-Austin Stadium in Wichita.
The Kansas girls won 2-1 and the Kansas boys won 4-2.
Hutchinson High School’s Griffin Galyon and Rhyan Galyon swept “Player of Match” honors, said Hutchinson coach Jordan Proffitt.
Griffin Galyon scored 2 goals for the Kansas boys in a 3-minute span, including the go-ahead goal. Maize’s Emery Atchison, a Denver Metro College commit, aded a goal. Wichita Trinity Academy’s Simon Graham had 2 assists.
Rhyan Galyon, who signed with Miami Dade College for next year, scored 1 goal for the Kansas girls. Goddard’s Presley Schmidt, who signed with Wright State University, scored Kansas’ other goal.
Wichita Bishop Carroll’s Caleigh Carpenter, who will compete for Pittsburgh State University, contributed 1 assist.
Great Bend High School’s Xali Arias also was a member of the Kansas girls team.
