HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Beethoven & Beer, the casual classical music series presented by Classical Revolution ICT at Sandhills Brewing, returns for its summer season on Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 7:00–8:30 PM.
Held in a relaxed brewery setting, Beethoven & Beer brings local musicians and audiences together for an approachable live classical music experience outside the traditional concert hall. The June 18 event will feature a wide-ranging lineup including Hannah Caswell, flute; Ava Waln, saxophone; and Wundasheen, a lively local oompah band.
The June event also coincides with Downtown Hutchinson’s Third Thursday activities, creating an evening full of live music, community events, and downtown activity. Guests are encouraged to explore the festivities throughout downtown and stop by Sandhills Brewing throughout the evening to catch performances during Beethoven & Beer’s three live music sets.
The variety of performers reflects Beethoven & Beer’s intentionally eclectic approach to programming, blending traditional classical repertoire with unexpected styles and instrumentation in a welcoming community atmosphere.
What to Expect at Beethoven & Beer
- Three short live music sets featuring a variety of performers and styles
- A casual environment where guests can socialize and enjoy a drink during performances
- Up-close interaction with local musicians
- Free admission, with donations encouraged to support performers and future programming
- Indoor/outdoor community gathering spaces at Sandhills Brewing

“One of the things audiences love most about Beethoven & Beer is never quite knowing what combination of performers they’ll experience next,” said Alex Johnson, Founder and Coordinator of Classical Revolution ICT. “This event moves from flute and saxophone performances to an oompah band — all in the same evening.”
Beethoven & Beer transitioned to a seasonal format in 2026, allowing Classical Revolution ICT to feature more varied programming while taking advantage of Sandhills Brewing’s indoor/outdoor venue during the summer months.
Additional 2026 Beethoven & Beer dates include:
- Tuesday, July 28
- Tuesday, August 25
