The Buhler High School varsity girls soccer team dropped a 3-2 decision to Salina South Thursday at Salina Stadium.
“Tough pill to swallow with this result,” said Buhler soccer coach Randall Rank, whose team dropped to 7-4-2.
“The girls played extremely well and showed some really good momentum moving forward. Sometimes things don’t go your way, and sometimes things just don’t make sense. These girls will grow from it and be better because of it.
Madi McCool and Kennedee Applegate scored the Crusader goals on assists by Lakin Yoder and Rorey Waldren.
The Buhler junior varsity girls soccer team defeated Salina South 1-0 on a goal by Bella Morones.
“Clean sheet by Abigail (Cummins), Josie (Cummins) and the defense,” Rank said.
Buhler does not play this weekend because it’s graduation weekend at Buhler High School. The Crusaders travel to Wichita Monday to play Classical School of Wichita.
