Erie City Clerk Jessica Altman has been terminated in the wake of allegations involving theft of city funds.
The City of Erie in a statement Thursday morning said Altman was arrested Wednesday on felony theft charges related to an investigation into missing funds of the city. The investigation is being handled by the Neosho County Sheriff’s Office and is ongoing.
The statement said the city is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, accountability, and public trust.
Due to this being an ongoing investigation no additional information is being released at this time.
