The Kansas Department of Transportation has begun a pavement repair project on US 169 near Iola.
This project involves full-depth concrete repair at three locations near the Elm Creek bridge about 1.2 miles south of the US 54 interchange. Two of the sites are on bridge approaches and the other is north of the bridge.
During this work traffic signals will guide one lane of traffic through the work zone, with a ten feet lane width restriction. Delays of up to ten minutes can be expected.
This project, similar to one just concluded on US 169 south of Humbold6, is expected to be complete by mid-May, weather permitting.
