Hutchinson Community College freshman Xylavene Beale‘s assault on the Blue Dragon record book continued last week at the Tabor College Invitational in Hillsboro.
Beale’s latest records earned her Jayhawk Conference Women’s Track and Field Field Athlete of the Week honors for the fourth time this season.
Counting the 2026 indoor season, the freshman from Albury, Australia, broke her 13th and 14th school records on Saturday at the Tabor College Invitational, winning both the shot put and discus, where she ranks No. 1 in the NJCAA in both events.
Beale broke her own record in the discus with a winning throw of 165 feet, 0 inches (50.30 meters). She broke her own Blue Dragon shot put record with a top effort of 51 feet, 7.25 inches (15.73 meters).
This is Beale’s first outdoor weekly conference honor after winning three indoor KJCCC weekly awards.
The Blue Dragons will next compete at the Emporia State Invitational on Thursday at Welch Stadium in Emporia.
