Forged Automotive Brings Full-Service Repairs and DIY Learning Space to Hutchinson
HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Forged Automotive LLC has secured a $150,000 NetWork Kansas loan, made possible through matching funds from First National Bank, to launch a new full-service automotive repair and maintenance shop. Founded by Hutchinson native Elijah Crist, Forged Automotive LLC is preparing to launch at 800 South Main Street.
Forged Automotive will offer comprehensive automotive maintenance and repair services for most makes and models, while also introducing a unique do-it-yourself (DIY) workspace and hands-on educational clinics for community members interested in learning vehicle maintenance in a professional shop environment. The business will serve both Hutchinson and South Hutchinson from its high-visibility Main Street location.
StartUp Hutch has worked alongside Crist throughout the planning and startup process, providing guidance and connections to help bring the business from concept to launch.
“Forged Automotive represents exactly the kind of thoughtful, community-focused entrepreneurship we want to support,” said Graham Klemme, Executive Director of StartUp Hutch. “Elijah brings deep industry experience and a unique model that not only meets a strong local need, but also creates opportunities for education, workforce development, and long-term growth in Reno County.”
Crist brings nearly 20 years of automotive industry experience, including leadership roles overseeing service operations and quality control for multiple shops. His vision for Forged Automotive emphasizes transparency, trust, and accessibility, offering traditional repair services alongside educational clinics and a membership-based DIY program that allows customers to rent shop space, tools, and technical support during off-hours
StartUp Hutch serves as Reno County’s hub for entrepreneurship, offering resources, guidance, and connections to help local entrepreneurs launch, operate, and scale their businesses.
