Wichita, Kan. – Eduardo Tarafa has earned KCAC Baseball Player of the Week the KCAC announced Monday. Student-Athletes were selected for their performances from March 16th through March 22nd by a vote of conference information sports directors. Tarafa is the first Swede to earn KCAC weekly honors for baseball since February 2022 when Randy Good earned Player of the Week at first base.
“Well-deserved recognition for Eduardo,” said Head Coach Olan Ortiz. “He was on fire this week and had some big at bats for us, especially hitting a go ahead home run to secure the win on game 1 of series. I am very happy for him, and I know there is more to come.”
Eduardo had an outstanding week both at the plate and in the field. Tarafa batted home a quarter of the Bethany’s total runs scored including a couple of homeruns against the Spires. One of those homeruns being a game winner in the ninth-inning of Game 1 vs the Spires. On the defensive side, Eduardo Tarafa had a total of 12 putouts while playing in the outfield.
