
RUSH CENTER, Kan. – The Kansas Department of Transportation plans to begin a bridge replacement project on U.S. 183 just south of the K-96 junction in Rush Center on Monday, March 16, conditions permitting.
Work will occur Monday through Friday during daylight hours. One lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction head-to-head with an 11-foot width restriction and a 150-foot length restriction. Side streets will be closed at U.S. 183.
Wildcat Construction of Wichita (who won the bid as Klaver Construction) is the prime contractor on the $2.5 million project, which is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
