McPherson, Smoky Valley, Buhler and Nickerson placed seventh, eighth, ninth, 10th and 11th at the Class 4A regional tournament Saturday at Beloit.
McPherson scored 96 points, Smoky Valley 72.5. Buhler 55 and Nickerson 54.
Hoisington, Larned and Hesston placed 12th, 15th and 16th.
Colby won the Beloit regional title with 156.5 points.
The Buhler Crusaders will send three wrestlers to state. Sammy Hershberger finished third at 132 pounds, while Jacob Burklow earned a third-place finish at 190 pounds.
Max Harmony advanced to the finals at 157 pounds, finishing as runner-up after a 4-0 decision against Abilene’s Dayven Cuba.
The Nickerson Panthers qualified two wrestlers for state from Saturday’s regional. Senior Kristopher Monroe Jr. punched his ticket to state by placing third at 165 pounds. Aiden Brinkley also qualified with a fourth-place finish at 120 pounds.
Smoky Valley’s Parker Gardner captured the 215-pound regional title with a 9-0 decision over McPherson’s Dylan Hall.
Joining the Vikings’ state qualifiers, Christian Erickson earned third place at 157 pounds, while Rette Krehbiel added a fourth-place finish at 138 pounds.
In addition to Hall, McPherson will send three other grapplers to the state meet. Carter Leathers competed in the first-place match at 285 pounds, winning the title by a 3-0 decision over Hoisington’s Colin Mater.
Noah Garcia earned a third-place finish at 113 pounds, while Madison Burkes claimed second place at 120 pounds.
Hesston’s Lyndon Dillon competed for third place at 175 pounds.
