HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson Public Schools is accepting nominations for the 2025-26 Classified Employee of the Year and the Certified Employee of the Year.
Certified Employee of the Year
Each year USD 308 honors one certified employee. This award is separate from the annual Davis Foundation Educator of the Year award and the KSDE Kansas Teacher of the Year award.
Examples of a certified employee include Teachers, Special Education Teachers, Instructional Coaches/Support, Counselors/Psychologists/Social Workers, Occupational/Physical Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Library Media Specialists, Nurses.
Other nomination criteria:
- The nominee is professional and projects a professional demeanor at all times.
- The nominee has positive relationships with students, colleagues, parents and patrons.
- The nominee inspires students of all backgrounds and abilities to learn.
- The nominee participates in community groups and activities.

Classified Employee of the Year
The Classified Employee of the Year Award program provides an opportunity to recognize the outstanding service by employees in the Hutchinson Public Schools.
Examples of a classified employee include Nurses, Secretaries, Food Service, Custodians, Operations staff, Information Systems staff, Maintenance staff and others.
Other nomination criteria:
- The nominees will represent the efforts and contributions of all employees in the Hutchinson Public Schools.
- Nominees must be employed in the district for 3 years at the opening of nominations to be eligible.
- Only online submissions will be accepted.

Anyone may make a nomination for either award. Nominations are welcome from staff, students, parents, and community partners.
