Wichita, Kan. – The Bethany College Swedes Indoor Men’s & Women’s Track & Field teams took part in the 2026 KCAC Indoor Championships.
The women’s team finished with six total team points for an 11th place finish. Mercy Ynostrosa showed in her events in which she totaled five of the Swedes’ team points. Ynostrosa placed sixth in the Shot Put with a throw of 11.35m and seventh in the Weight Throw with a toss of 13.47m. Madison Kelley earned the final team point with a eighth-place finish in the Weight Throw recording a throw of 13.38m,
The men’s team finished with 20 total team points for an eighth-place finish. Dylan Brice scored half of the team points by winning the Pole Vault with a jump of 4.60m. Gage Burk earned three team points in the High Jump securing a sixth-place finish by clearing 1.96m. Jackson Montei-Wallace helped the Swedes earn their final seven team points with an eighth-place finish in the 1000m run with a time of 2:36.65. Montei-Wallace was also part of a couple relay teams that each took sixth-place.

This marks the end of the indoor season for the Swedes. Now, they will gear up to hit outdoor season running. The Swedes’ first meet is Bethel College Invitational in North Newton, Kan., on Saturday, March 21.
