McPHERSON, Kan. (February 5, 2026) — Through a partnership with the McPherson County Community Foundation, manager of the Childcare Zone Grant for McPherson and Marion counties, a new online resource is now available to support families and childcare providers across the region. McPhersonMarionChildcare.com has officially launched as a comprehensive childcare provider directory designed to support transparency and visibility within the local childcare system.
The Childcare Zone Grant initiative strengthens the availability and reach of childcare services, reinforcing workforce stability and fueling community growth. As part of this work, the new directory was developed as an easy-to-use platform where families can explore licensed childcare options and providers can share details about their programs and services.
“Reliable childcare is essential to strong families and a strong workforce,” said Betsy Davis, Director of Community Services for the McPherson County Community Foundation. “This tool helps families quickly understand their childcare options while giving providers a clear, professional way to connect with those who need care.”
The website features an easy-to-use directory of childcare providers licensed through the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) in McPherson and Marion counties. Families can filter results by provider type—including childcare centers, family childcare homes, and preschools—as well as by age groups served and program features, making it easier to find care that fits their needs.
Beyond helping families, the directory also supports local childcare providers by offering a professional platform to showcase their programs and amenities.
“This resource creates new opportunities for childcare providers to reach families in the community,” Davis said. “By highlighting their programs and services, providers can more easily connect with families seeking care.”
