Road Test Provides Growth for Swede Men

The Bethany College Swedes competed on the road Wednesday night, falling 93–70 at York but turning in several strong individual performances as conference play continued. Bethany stayed within striking distance early, trailing by just three at halftime, before facing a strong second-half push.

Keddric Mays II led the Swedes offensively with 18 points, shooting an efficient 7-of-11 from the field and knocking down a pair of three-pointers. His scoring helped Bethany stay aggressive throughout the night. Will Martinez also delivered a strong performance, finishing with 16 points while connecting on three three-pointers and going 5-of-6 at the free-throw line.

David Mitchell provided a steady presence inside, posting 13 points and nine rebounds, while Milton Kpehe was perfect from the field, scoring eight points on 4-of-4 shooting and pulling down seven rebounds. Jordan Reams added eight points and five assists, helping facilitate the offense and create scoring opportunities.

Bethany shot over 46% from the field and an impressive 92% from the free-throw line, showing efficiency and composure despite the road challenge. The Swedes continued to battle through all 40 minutes and gained valuable experience as the conference schedule moves forward.

The Swedes remain on the road and will travel to face the Oklahoma Wesleyan University Eagles on January 31, looking to regroup and compete in their next conference matchup.
