The Bethany College Swedes faced a challenging test Saturday night, falling 100–66 in conference play despite continued effort and several solid individual performances. Bethany competed throughout the game and used contributions from multiple players while battling against one of the league’s top teams.
Will Martinez led the Swedes offensively, finishing with 11 points while knocking down three three-pointers in an efficient shooting performance off the bench. Keddric Mays II added 10 points, attacking the basket and getting to the free-throw line, while also providing energy on both ends of the floor. Donovan Newton contributed across the stat sheet with nine points, six rebounds, and three assists, helping steady the offense during extended minutes.
Milton Kpehe made his presence felt inside, pulling down seven rebounds and adding two steals, while Curtis Stovall III chipped in eight points, including a pair of three-pointers that helped Bethany stretch the floor. The Swedes showed discipline at the free-throw line, converting 15 of 17 attempts, and continued to fight despite the final score.
Although the result did not go Bethany’s way, the game provided valuable experience as the Swedes remain focused on growth and preparation heading into a key rivalry matchup.
