LANGDON, Kan. – Superintendent Richard Spencer of USD 310, Fairfield, has announced that school will be closed on Thursday, January 15th, and Friday, January 16th, due to a significant rise in student and staff illness.
In a message to the community, Spencer stated the decision was made “out of an abundance of caution to protect the health and well-being of our students, staff, and families.”
The basketball games slated for Thursday and Friday at Skyline have been postponed to a later date, and no practices will be held on either closure day.
The district’s night custodian will be fogging the buildings to assist in disinfecting the premises. School officials will continue to monitor the situation closely and will provide updates as needed.
