Panther Men Dominate Ottawa University in Second Semester Opener

Chanute, KS – The Neosho County Men’s Basketball team delivered a commanding performance on Saturday afternoon, rolling past Ottawa University with a decisive 97–37 victory in Chanute.
The Panthers set the tone early and never looked back, showcasing balanced scoring, strong rebounding, and relentless defense throughout the contest. Jayce Cooper led all scorers with 17 points, shooting an efficient 70% from the field to anchor the offensive attack.

Neosho County controlled the paint all night, highlighted by dominant rebounding efforts from Cooper Weeks and Adyn Prophete. Weeks finished with a double-double of 13 points and 13 rebounds, while Prophete matched him on the boards with 13 rebounds to go along with 12 points.

Eriq Caraballo added a spark on both ends of the floor, contributing 12 points and a team-high three steals. Champ Powaukee rounded out the scoring leaders with 10 points and four assists, helping keep the Panthers’ offense flowing.

With the win, the Panthers continue to build momentum as they head into their next matchup.
