McPHERSON, Kan. — McPherson Center for Health in partnership with the McPherson Convention & Visitors Bureau is inviting the community to an evening of education, conversation, and connection with Shredding the Silence on Menopause, taking place Saturday, January 31 at the McPherson Opera House, 219 S Main St, McPherson, KS.
The event centers around a screening of The M Factor, a documentary that explores the realities of menopause and encourages open, informed discussion around a topic that impacts every woman but is often overlooked or misunderstood.
The evening will follow this schedule:
6:00 p.m. – Pre-movie party and vendor fair (ticketed)
7:00 p.m. – Movie showing (The M Factor), free and open to the public
8:00 p.m. – Panel discussion with McPherson Center for Health Rural Health Clinic providers
The pre-movie party and vendor fair is available with a $25 RSVP and includes food, a drink ticket, giveaways, and the opportunity to connect with some local vendors. The movie screening and panel discussion are free and open to the public, and attendees are welcome to join for any portion of the evening.
Following the film, McPherson Center for Health providers will lead a panel discussion and open Q&A to help answer questions, address common concerns, and encourage honest conversation around menopause and women’s health.
“This event is about creating space for education and real conversations,” said Carol Fickes, Chief of Provider and Clinic Operations. “Menopause affects women in many ways, yet it’s not talked about enough. We want women to feel informed, supported, and empowered to ask questions.”
