Two Arrested After Execution of Search Warrants Near Humboldt

ALLEN COUNTY, Kan. — Two men were arrested after search warrants were executed by Allen County Sheriff’s Deputies Tuesday in the 1100 block of Arizona Road, about four miles southwest of Humboldt. During the initial search alleged drug items were found leading to obtaining a second search warrant.

Andrew Berthot, 30, was booked into the Allen County Jail on suspicion of aggravated unlawful transmission of visual depictions of a child, sexual exploitation of a child, aggravated internet trading in child pornography, promoting obscenity and breach of privacy.

Daniel Berthot, 29, was arrested on suspicion of two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A statement from the Sheriff’s Office Tuesday night said multiple counts of each charge against the brothers are expected to be forwarded to the Allen County Attorney’s office for charging consideration on conclusion of the investigation which is ongoing.

They are also asking anyone who might have information related to this investigation to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 620-365-1400. All persons are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
