Haven wrestler Tanner Loughrie 1st at Hoisington Meet, Reaches 100-victory Milestone

Haven High School senior Tanner Loughrie reached 100 career win milestone on Friday, December 19th at the 2025 Hoisington Boys Corner Classic.

Loughrie, who placed sixth last year at the Kansas Class 3-2-1A boys state wrestling tournament at 132 pounds, placed first at 132 pounds the Hosington meet.

Haven’s John Williams placed second at 138 pounds and Welden Stanley placed second at 150 pounds. Dante De Virgilio finished third at 106 pounds and Nolan Petersheim was fourth at 144 pounds.

Also placing for the Wildcats were Sadler DeFrain, fifth, 190; Tucker Rogers, sixth, 113; Alex True, eighth, 165; Jadiel Bravo, eighth, 215; and Ayden Romero, 10th, 157.

Halstead/Sedgwick’s top finisher was Riley Queen, third, 175; and Jack Hoofer, 12th, 157. Reggie McCloud did not place at 150 pounds.

Haven placed seventh in the team standings with 98.5 points and Halstead/Sedgwick placed 12th with 15 points.

The Great Bend Panther wrestlers won the team title with 184.5 points. The host Hoisington Cardinals placed sixth with 99 points.

Haven girls place 4th at Hoisington Girls Corner Classic

Haven High School’s Haven’s Tristel Schroeder placed first at 130 pounds at the 2025 Hoisington Girls Corner Classic, and the Haven girls wrestling team placed fourth.

Three Haven wrestlers placed second: Charlie King at 100 pounds, Amelia Scott at 130 and Hayden Williams at 140. Teagan Rogers placed fifth at 145 and Lily Wickey was sixth at 135.

Halstead/Sedgwick’s Ashlee Ledford placed second at 170 pounds. Teammate Addi Thompson placed third at 155 pounds.

Hoisington won the team title with 171 points, followed by Liberal 154.5, Scott Community 110 and Haven 84.5. Halstead/Sedgwick placed 11th with 35.5 points.
