The Buhler High School boys swimming and diving team dominated the Hutchinson Invitational Tuesday at the Hutchinson YMCA pool.
Buhler placed first with 462 points, followed by Rose Hill 360, Hutchinson 338, Garden City 276.5, Dodge City 246, Great Bend 194.5 and Liberal 109.
It was the final meet of 2025 for Hutchinson and Buhler swimmers.

The Buhler High School A medley relay of senior Eli White, senior Ryler Hartnett, senior Wyatt Regehr and senior Hudson DeWeese finished first.
The B relay of senior Ethan Maxfield, Carson Roberts, senior Zack Schweizer and senior Zach Greenlee finished sixth overall.
Wyatt Regehr finished second overall in the 200-yard freestyle with a new personal best time. Zach Greenlee placed seventh.
In the 200 IM, Buhler had three point-scoring races from Hartnett, Maxfield and Schweizer. Hartnett swam a state consideration time, and is within 2 seconds of qualifying outright.
In event 4, the 50 freestyle, Buhler had three top 10 finishes. DeWeese earned first, Gabe Auxier placed fourth and Roberts came in 7th.
In event 6, the 100 butterfly, Greenlee finished sixth and Rayden Cunningham was seventh with a 23-second time cut.
In the 100 free, White dropped 3 seconds and finished third. Auxier was right behind him in fifth.
The guys dominated the 500 free with Wyatt Regehr cutting 8 seconds and finishing second. Ethan Maxfield placed third and cut 27 seconds. Schweizer came in fifth.
Buhler’s A 200 free relay of Auxier, Maxfield, Roberts and Greenlee finished first.
In the 100 backstroke, Hudson DeWeese qualified for state, finishing first. Right behind him in third was Eli White, earning a state consideration time for this season.
Rayden Cunningham dropped almost 9 seconds, posted a personal record and earned points with his 11th-place finish. Ryder Regeher scored points with his sixth-place finish with more than a 5 second time cut.
In the final event of the night, Buhler’s A relay of Wyatt Regehr, White, DeWeese and Hartnett finished first overall by quite a margin. Buhler’s B relay of Auxier, Cunningham, Roberts and Ryder Regehr finished fifth.

Hutchinson’s Kye Reneau captured the 100-yard Butterly with a time 1 minute, 7.56 seconds.
Ethan Nichols placed third in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:14.72. He also placed fifth in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:22.25.
Placing fourth for the Salthawks were the 200-yard medley relay A team of Elliott Simpson, Nichols, Reneau, Griffin Davenport with a time of 2:05.98.
The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Simpson, Mayer Collins, Zae Guillen and Nichols placed fifth in 1:55.56.
Hutchinson’s Gibson Malashchuk placed fourth in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 6:50.56 and placed sixth in the 200 free with a time of 2:27.7.
Tate Collins was sixth in the 500 free with a time of 7:23.84 and Simpson was sixth in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:14.7.
