McPherson, Kan. — The Central Christian College Tigers put together a strong second-half performance on Wednesday night but were unable to overcome an early deficit, falling 68–58 to the Langston University Lions inside Jerry E. Alexander Arena.

Central Christian had difficulty finding offensive rhythm in the opening half. Despite generating quality looks, the Tigers struggled to convert consistently, allowing Langston to build early separation. The Lions used efficient shooting and inside scoring to take control of the tempo, sending the Tigers into halftime needing a spark.

The Tigers shot significantly better in the second half, moving the ball with patience and defending with greater intensity. The Tigers cut into the Langston lead multiple times, bringing the crowd to life as momentum shifted their way.

Despite the Tigers’ push, Langston’s balanced attack and consistent scoring proved the difference. The Lions answered Central Christian’s runs with timely baskets and controlled the glass in key moments, limiting second-chance opportunities for the Tigers. The Lions composure late helped secure the road victory.

The Tigers move to 5-4, 0-3 SAC, and continue with SAC play on December 4th when they travel to Mid-America Christian University to take on the Evangels. Tip-off is set for 7:45pm. The game will be streamed on the SAC Sports Network.
