HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutch Rec and the City of Hutchinson invite residents to kick off the holiday season with a special Tree Lighting Ceremony of our community’s new 30-foot Christmas tree on Thursday, Nov. 20 as a part of Third Thursday.
The Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place in DCI Park, 2nd & Main, and starts at 6 p.m. on Nov. 20 with a short program that includes performances from the Family Community Theater’s production of “A Christmas Story, The Musical,” a special story time and remarks from City of Hutchinson Mayor Stacy Goss, and a drumline countdown with Hutchinson High School.
At 6:30 p.m., Mayor Goss will “flip the switch” and turn the tree lights on to officially begin the holiday season in Downtown Hutchinson.
