The season came to an end for the Haven Wildcats with a 52-22 loss to Phillipsburg in the Kansas Class 2A regional football playoffs Friday night at Phillipsburg.
Phillipsburg running back Blake Buresh rushed for 226 yards on 28 carries with five touchdowns. Colin Springer added two TD runs.
Brogan Wray passed for 174 yards and rushed for 69. Cole Brawner had 79 yards rushing. Kolton Altvater caught 8 passes for 70 yards.
Haven finished the season with a 7-3 record and the Panthers improved to 7-3.
Phillipsburg will play Southeast of Saline (10-0) in the Kansas Class 2A quarterfinals next Friday. Southeast of Saline blasted Russell 44-12 Friday night at Gypsum.
