The Hutchinson High boys soccer team is seeded No. 13 in the Class 5A West Regional, and the Salthawks will open postseason play at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Valley Center.
The Salthawks (7-8-1) and Valley Center (12-2-2) met this season on Sept. 30 in Valley Center, which saw the Hornets win 1-0 in overtime. It was just one of three games this season the Salthawks didn’t allow a goal in regulation.
Hutchinson has won six of its last 10 games.
The winner advances to Thursday’s championship game. The other game in the region features No. 12 Topeka Seaman playing at No. 5 Kapaun Mount Carmel.
