Kelly earns KCAC Defensive Player of the Week

KANSAS —Biel Campo of No. 1 Oklahoma Wesleyan University and Cassidy Kelly of Sterling College have earned this week’s KCAC Men’s Soccer Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors, respectively, the conference office announced Tuesday. The two student-athletes were selected for their performances from Oct. 13-19 by a vote of conference sports information directors. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by Equity Bank.


 

Offensive Player of the Week

Biel Campo – #1 Oklahoma Wesleyan University

Campo scored four goals on the week, including the game winner against Kansas Wesleyan, as the Eagles picked up two more conference victories. In a 9-1 over the University of Saint Mary, Campo scored two goals and dished out an assist. Campo then scored both of his team’s goals in the win over the Coyotes on Oct. 18, including the game winner in the 77th minute. This marks the second consecutive week in which Campo has been named the KCAC Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, and the second time overall this season he has earned the honor.
