The Hutchinson High boys soccer team notched one of its biggest wins of the season Thursday, as the Salthawks edged McPherson 2-1 in overtime.
The Salthawks led 1-0 at halftime before McPherson scored the only goal of the second half.
The winning goal came in the second half of overtime.
The win was Hutchinson’s fifth in its last eight games, and moved them up to 12th place in the Class 5A West Regional standings. The Salthawks (6-7-1) will next travel to Salina South on Tuesday.
