Buhler tennis earned a runner-up finish at Wednesday’s AVCTL Division III & IV meet, held at the Buck Balzer Tennis Complex. McPherson claimed the team title.
Sophomore standout Sophia Spies repeated as league singles champion, defeating McPherson’s Maryn Sandbo in the title match. Freshman Gabriella Gillespie placed ninth in her league tournament debut.
In doubles, Emily Allen and Kylee Bradshaw battled through the bracket for fifth, while Katelyn Harding and Addy Tech took ninth. McPherson’s Quinn Liebl and Avery Unruh captured the doubles crown.
Buhler now turns its attention to the postseason, hosting Class 4A Regional competition this Friday and Saturday.
