Proposals Sought in Reno County/Hutchinson’s Fight Against Addiction

RENO COUNTY, Kan. (October 8, 2025) — Since 2024, the Opioid Settlement Funds Advisory Oversight Committee has awarded close to $175,000 in grant funding out of the nearly $500,000 that they have received. The grant funding has previously been awarded to the United Way of Reno County, the Reno County District Attorney’s Office, Horizons Mental Health Center, and PrairieStar Health Center.

Requests for Proposals

The Opioid Settlement Funds Advisory Oversight Committee is again requesting proposals for grant funding from the Kansas Fights Addictions Fund.

To be eligible, proposals must come from organizations that are exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) and serve Reno County, Kansas. Special purpose units of government may apply for support of innovative projects. Community groups who do not have a 501(c)(3) status may apply for grant awards if another tax-exempt organization acts as a fiscal sponsor. Grant proposals from individuals or non-qualifying organizations will not be considered.

Go to https://www.renocountyks.gov/municipality-fights-addiction-fund to view the information and to fill out the application. An electronic copy of the application and supporting materials (e.g., project support letters from partners) in .pdf format must be submitted to the Opioid Settlement Funds Advisory Oversight Committee no later than 4:30 pm on November 10, 2025. The emailed proposal must be less than 15 megabytes in size. Project proposals selected for awards will need to sign grant documents prior to receiving the grant award.
