HUTCHINSON, Kan. (October 6, 2025) — The City of Hutchinson and the Boys & Girls Club of Hutchinson invite the community to celebrate the grand opening of the Shadduck Park Ninja Course with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, October 7, at 4:30 p.m. at Shadduck Park, 600 W. 2nd Ave., Hutchinson, KS.
The event will feature remarks from city and community leaders, a demonstration from professional American Ninja Warrior athlete Adam Rayl, and an opportunity for residents of all ages to try out the new course for themselves.
Event Schedule and Speakers:
The program will begin with welcome remarks from Lance Patterson, CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of Hutchinson, followed by a teen representative from the Boys & Girls Club, Justin Combs, City of Hutchinson Director of Parks and Facilities, and Mayor Stacy Goss. The event will conclude with special guest Adam Rayl, professional Ninja athlete and American Ninja Warrior competitor.
Following the remarks, Boys & Girls Club teens will lead the official ribbon cutting, after which Adam Rayl will perform a live ninja course demonstration. The course will then be opened for community members who wish to test out the new equipment.
About Adam Rayl:
You may recognize Adam from his seven seasons on NBC’s hit show American Ninja Warrior. Often referred to as “a legend” in the ninja community, Adam has earned two World Championships, one International Championship, and more speed-racing titles in a two-year span than any other athlete in the sport. Recently, he has competed internationally on the 100-meter Obstacle Course Race circuit in Croatia, Dubai, and Manila.
Adam’s motto, “Be Rock Solid,” reflects his drive, discipline, and dedication to inspiring others through physical fitness and perseverance.
