Hutchinson High’s boys cross country team placed two runners among the top 40 in the Crimson Division on Saturday at the Rim Rock Cross Country Classic in Lawrence.
Cristian Medina led the Salthawks with a 33rd-place finish in the 168-runner division. Medina finished the 5,000-meter event in 18 minutes, 17.18 seconds.
Ethan Holmes finished 38th in a time of 18:20.5.
The Salthawks finished 20th in the team standings.
Avery Tecklenburg was the only girls participant, and she finished the race in a time of 25:13.16.
