Hutchinson, Kan. – The Men’s and Women’s Swedes XC teams kicked the season off at the annual Terry Masterson Twilight Classic in Hutchinson, Kansas.
Head Coach Daylon Smith: “I am proud of how the team performed in our debut and I think it shows great signs of what we will be able to do as we grow on the long road to conference this season. The men’s team came away with a top-five finish which was exciting to see also.”
Both squads had a great showing for the first meet of the year. Sophomore Brady Obley (22:45.39) and Freshman Levi Pauley (23:02.42) lead the charge for the men. As for the women, Sophomore Transfer Logan Pevehouse (22:07.63) and Freshman Mary-Kathryn Gibson (22:41.33).
