Kinsley Coyotes
Coach: Corey Dunlap, seventh season (29-25)
Classification: Eight-player Division 1
District: 6
2024: 6-3
Postseason: Lost to Oxford 46-28
Top returning players: Gerardo Seanez, sr., OL/DL; Brady Kraft, jr., OL/DL/LB; Woodrow Lancaster, jr., RB/LB; Josh Stuckey, so., QB/DB
Key game: Oct. 11 at Meade. This could very well be for the district championship.
Outlook: Kinsley had another strong season, going 6-3 for a second straight winning season. It also seemed the Coyotes were in tight games almost every week. Seven of their nine games went the distance. There couldn’t have been many eight-man teams that had seven of their first nine games going the distance. Kinsley returns four starters from that team, including talented quarterback Josh Stuckey, who had nearly 1,500 yards of offense as a freshman and 27 touchdowns. Brady Kraft was one of the state’s top tacklers and is a player to watch. Kinsley will need to develop some depth, but they should have another winning season and competing for a first-round home playoff game.
