HUTCHINSON, Kan. (BlueDragonSports.com) – The Hutchinson Community College women’s soccer team is set to play its season opener tonight as the No. 15 Blue Dragons meet No. 12 Trinity Valley.
The Blue Dragons and Cardinals have changed game time and site of the season opener to 7 p.m. today at Don Michael Field (17th and Severance) to play on that venue’s artificial turf surface.
Because of the rain early Monday morning that lasted into the early afternoon, the field at the Salthawk Sports Complex is too wet to play on, which prompted the move.
Monday’s rain and the scheduled rain on Wednesday has prompted time and site changes as well.
Now at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Barton will play Trinity Valley, and the Blue Dragons’ 2 p.m. game against Western Wyoming has been moved back to 1 p.m. Both of those games will be played at Don Michael Field.
