The Hutchinson High boys golf team finish third at the AVCTL Division 1 tournament on Monday at Pine Bay Golf Course. The Salthawks shot a 349, two shots behind runner-up Maize.
Mitchell Rice led the Salthawks with a 10th-place finish with an 80. Tate Engelland was 14th with an 87.
The Salthawks will play in a Class 5A regional on Tuesday at Auburn Hills in Wichita.
Swimming –Â Hutchinson finished in sixth Saturday at the Andover Invitational, scoring 209 points.
Baseball –Â The Salthawks wrapped up a solid regular season Monday with an 8-0 loss to 5A power St. Thomas Aquinas.
The Salthawks are 15-11 and will head into the Class 5A West Regional and will be on the road for regionals, likely to Great Bend or Topeka Seaman.
Soccer –Â The Salthawks finished their home portion of their schedule with an impressive 5-1 win over Salina South on Tuesday at the Salthawk Sports Complex.
After leading 1-0 at half, the Salthawks dominated the second half for their ninth win of the season and ensuring a winning record. The Salthawks will head to Campus on Thursday and then play at home in the first round of the Class 5A West Regional next week.
