WICHITA, Kan. (KCACSports.com) — Broc Lyle of No. 14 Evangel University, Christian Tuiasosopo of Tabor College, and Corbin Grant of Southwestern College have earned this week’s KCAC Football Offensive, Defensive, and Special Teams Player of the Week honors, respectively, the conference office announced Monday. The three student-athletes were selected for their performances from Aug. 26-Sept. 1 by a vote of conference sports information directors. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by Equity Bank.
Offensive Player of the Week
Broc Lyle – #14 Evangel University
5-11 | 160 lbs | So. | WR | Rolla, Mo.
The sophomore Broc Lyle had big shoes to fill after All-American Dillon Hester graduated from Evangel at the end of last year. Lyle put up a dominant effort against #24 KWU, reeling in seven passes for 157 yards and three touchdowns, all coming in the 2nd and 3rd quarters of Saturday’s game. The speedster also recorded 92 kick return yards to lead Evangel in a 35-24 win.
