McPHERSON, Kan. — Three vehicles were destroyed in a fire this morning at the Terra Nova Apartments on Genesis Drive, off Avenue A south of the McPherson Cemetery.
McPherson Fire and Police units and the McPherson County Sheriff’s Office were called out at 9:38 AM, and the first arriving crews found two vehicles fully involved with fire, and having spread to a third.
The vehicle fires were extinguished without further damage to any other vehicle. Wind and the close proximity of cars in the parking lot were contributing factors in the fire spreading from the vehicle where it started.
Cause of the fire is under investigation, although foul play is not suspected.
