This week Saline County Republican Central Committee will hold a convention on Thursday, September 10th to select a replacement Republican nominee for the November ballot, after State Representative Clarke Sanders withdrew from the 2026 general election.
Sanders cited health issues behind his decision. The Republican has served the 69th District of the Kansas House since winning the seat back in 2020 and again in 2024.
Sanders has vowed to complete his current term which ends in January. The convention will determine the Republican nominee for the November election.
