Timothy Joe Cox
1958-2025

Timothy Joe Cox, a man whose presence touched the hearts of everyone he met. His kindness, warmth, and unwavering love left an imprint that will never fade.

Early Life & Family
Timothy was born in Pocahontas, Arkansas, on July 10, 1958, the beloved son of Pearlie Mae Clark and Freada Cox, both now deceased. He was the youngest of three boys, preceded in death by his brothers Danny Cox and Sammy Cox. He also had two sisters: Diane Ward, who is deceased, and Donna Cox Esquibel, who survives him today. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Fatherhood & Legacy

Timothy was a proud father of six children. He, late in life, wanted to reconnect and heal his relationships. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Mercedes, and is remembered by his children, Christopher Cox and Dakota Cox, as well as Sammy, Marcus, and Bella, who survive him. He has a granddaughter, Veda, and a grandson, Dominick, who also survive him. He loved his children and grandchildren.

Marriage & Friendship
Timothy is survived by his wife, Jolien Mae Cox. Though their marriage was brief — just five months — their friendship spanned fifty years, a testament to the enduring bond they shared. Their story is one of loyalty, companionship, and love that stood the test of life. He would say to Jolien, “I meant what you knew,” and she would say to him, “I meant what you knew.”

Passing
On September 22, 2025, Timothy passed away unexpectedly at Wesley Hospital, with his wife by his side, following a sudden heart attack. His departure was swift, but his memory remains strong in the hearts of all who knew him. If you needed help, he would be there.

Closing Reflection
Timothy’s life was not always perfect, but it was a gift — a tapestry of laughter and resilience. Though we grieve his absence, we celebrate the joy he brought and the countless lives he touched. His spirit endures in his family, his friends, and in every act of kindness inspired by him.
