Phyllis Klassen Voth, 97, of Goessel, Kansas, passed away Monday, December 15, 2025 at Bethesda Home. She was born on October 10, 1928 in Goessel to Rudolf F. and Esther (Nikkel) Klassen.
She graduated from Goessel High School in 1947 and later attended Bethel College for two years.
Phyllis taught for two years in a rural grade school near Canton. She later became a dedicated homemaker.
She was a lifelong member of Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church.
Phyllis was united in marriage to J. Randolf Voth on May 18, 1950 at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church. He preceded her in death on August 25, 2001, after 51 years of marriage.
She is survived by her son, DeWayne (Becky) Voth of Hillsboro; grandsons, Jeremy Wayne Voth of Goessel, and Cameron Joel (Addison) Voth of Hesston; great-grandchildren, Collins Ann, Palmer Jeanne, and Baker James Voth of Hesston.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Darryl and Ranell Voth; brothers, Perry (Clareen) Klassen, and Arlo Klassen; niece, Sher Klassen-Neufeld; and nephew, Tim Klassen.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, December 22, 2025 at Bethesda Home Chapel. Private burial will take place at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethesda Home in care of Miller-Ott Funeral Home, PO Box 96, Goessel, KS 67053.
